If you are looking to organise a birthday party and want to try something different, why not come to Zipit for up to 4 hours of fun and adrenaline.
Fantastic time- Kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Celebrating daughters 16th birthday, she had so much fun with her friends- Thank you.
The activities are great, but it's the staff that make the experience.
They are brilliant with the kids- patient, kind and encouraging. They go the extra mile! Best birthday ever! That was amazing, so much fun!
Hundreds of children have celebrated their birthdays at Zipit (minimum age 7), but it's not just for the kids. Zipit is a great way to mark those significant milestones, whether it's an official entry to adulthood, a key to the door, or a life begins at 40 to mention a few, let's not limit ourselves. So, whether you are a child or an adult, join us for a unique day that will stay with you forever.
A 30 - 45 minute safety briefing session is required, before you can move on through the circuits, so if you only have 2 hours to spend, you really will only get one circuit completed. Allow the time to make your day so much more enjoyable.
7 - 8 year olds can complete the green circuit only, but can go around as many times as they want within their allocated time. It's a fairly "hands-on" party for supervisors and the bigger the group, the more you will be in demand! We advise a maximum number of 10 if all the children are 7-8.
If you would like to send out children’s party invitations, Click Here to print our Zipit Birthday Invitations.
All children under 18 must be supervised by an adult, either participating or on the ground. We do ask that all supervisors attend and listen to the Safety Briefing. Adults supervising more than one child must keep all children within their view, and on the same circuit. Unsupervised children will be taken down from the circuit, without refund.
No harness = no charge. There is no fee for supervisors who remain on the ground.
If you have a group of mixed ages, it may be the children are spread between 3 circuits, so you would need a minimum of 3 supervisors.
Take a look at the Pricing Tab to check what circuits everyone can do. Remember that age is the priority with no exception made for ability. Whilst an adult can do the lower circuits, children who are below the age shown, cannot complete the higher circuits, even with a supervisor. We do have a strict policy on this, so please don’t ask us to make an exception.
Smaller children sometimes need a lot of encouragement and oftentimes, having someone familiar close by increases their confidence. The first time around is the slowest, but, once they have successfully completed the circuit, second and third time round becomes great fun, as they move around with confidence. A ratio of 1 supervisor for every 4 children aged 7 - 8 is required.
Our parks use a safety system which involves the use of magnets. Magnets may interfere with the operation of pacemakers and ICD’s.
We recommend that you check with your doctor, before booking Zipit at Farran or Lough Key.
Unfortunately, due to safety risks anyone who is pregnant is unable to participate.
Dress appropriately for physical exercise in an outdoors environment. We recommend layers, with a light rain jacket, even in the summer! Runners are ideal, no open toed shoes or sandals. Little hands can get very cold in winter, so bring a pair of woolen gloves for extra warmth. You may need to bring insect repellant and sun cream during certain months.

We know it is an almost impossible task getting people to commit to a date and time, with all their extra-curricular activities, but we do need numbers to reserve the harnesses.
Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed entry, especially at peak times. If your group is 10 or below, you book online. We recommend booking for your maximum numbers and payment must be made in full. But you can reduce these numbers up to 48 hours before the date of your visit and get a full refund.
And check the weather too, because we go ahead in the rain!
Call us on 051 858008 or complete our Group Contact Form and we will check availability for you. New Covid Regulations are currently in place to comply with social distancing.
We require a €100 booking deposit at time of booking.
Confirmation of numbers must be made 48 hours in advance, and payment made in full. Please understand that harnesses have been reserved for every person booked, and cannot be re-sold last-minute. We also roster staff in accordance with number of people on the course. If you book for your highest numbers and there is a large drop in the meantime, please let us know as early as possible, so we can re-sell the reserved harnesses.
